Can't your girlfriend drag and drop the DVD-icon on VLC. Works for
absolutely everything else that I can think of. Heck, VLC even plays
iso-images if you drag and drop it on to it. This app gets way too
little focus!

HAL/DBUS changes are being worked on for future versions, which could detect
DVDs
That should make it easier i guess. Not before 0.9.0 I suspect.
