After several attempts to get 12.04 to install on virtualbox, I finally
got it to install without the installer crashing near the end.
It seemed to be okay with 12.04, but to be sure I asked another 12.04

confirmed it for me (thank
There's no need to install 12.04. You can download a livecd and test
from that.
Though I'm assuming that virtualizing it would be no issue (assuming
that ubuntu 3D/Unity3D is running without issue in the virtualization
software).

At present, I don't have time to install 12.04. I could virtualize it on
11.04 though, would that be sufficient?
