I turn the bug status to 'invalid', because:
- I don't reproduce with ubuntu 9.10
- I reproduce with 10.04 alpha and beta
- I no more reproduce since I update 10.04 today (17th april 2010) but I can't
prove which package fix the issue or that it was not a configuration issue

Don't know if this is related, but I have a similar problem with a
samsung writemaster dvdrw connected through USB.
Everything seems fine but as soon as I put in a CD-ROM the CD-Drive
symbol vanishes from the File Browser.
