Hi. I think I'm being directed to the US store and when clicking
download button gives me the "Download unavailable" message and the
iprestricted message in the terminal output. I don't see anywhere to
change to the "world store" mentioned in other posts. I'm in Guatemala.

Ralph - I understand what you mean. I think I should provide a little
more clarification. The company, 7digital, has decided to open a
Switzerland-specific store for their 7digital.com brand. That store only
sells music that is licensed for Switzerland.
Rather than opening lots of country-specific
Switzerland is now also redirected to the EU store. But why EU store as
Switzerland has its own store http://de-ch.7digital.com/
7digital own swiss store has the prices in swiss francs and not euro.

Yes. I see the World store. It say "World Store Top Picks". I just tried
it on another machine thinking there was something wrong with my Ubuntu
One account. Same result. I can play the samples. But when I click on
Download, I get the "Downloads unavailable" page.

the problem. We found an error in our IP routing that was causing you to
be sent to the World store instead of the EU store. We're making this
change now and will roll it out to production in our next release on

jgonis - Users in Canada access the World store for now (until we launch
a Canada-only store). Stores only sell in one currency and the World
store is set to Euros. I'll contact 7digital for a status on the

This is also still not working in Canada as of April 11, 2009. I have
applied all updates and I was still not able to purchase any of the
songs I selected, from Oasis to Orbital to Max Graham. All prices are
listed in Euros as well.

The World store will sell songs that are licensed on a worldwide basis.
The current selection in the World store still needs to be refreshed so
beta testers will find songs that show "Download unavailable" when you
attempt to purchase. The refresh will happen very soon. I apologize for
the delay.
Has anyone attempted to fool the store into thinking you were from a part of
the world where songs are available?
How are customers directed to each store?
If it's IP address based you could run through a proxy or VPN or
something, if it's the location you selected when you install or set as
home
If this isn't going to happen until post-Lucid, please hide the U1MS
item in Rhythmbox in regions in which it isn't supported. If you can't
do that, at least make the error message less unobvious.
