Oliver Grawer, can you please try the debian package at:
http://people.canonical.com/~surbhi/ti-omap/ with the following kernel
command line options "loglevel=7 debug". Please do attach the dmesg if
possible, when you hit the bug.

I cannot reproduce this bug. Also, the bug seems to be coming from
kmalloc rather than an ext4 function.

that card/rootfs works fine if plugged into an imx51 babbage board or
chrooted from an x86 system, it is definately not hardware related.
