There is no microcode release for any 6050 series cards yet. The 6050
series includes any card model matching 6x5x, most notably the 6250
offered for the ThinkPad T510. Until the microcode is released, the
kernel updates to support the card are useless.

I just downloaded the latest Intel firmware from that link, backed up my
existing iwlwifi-6000 driver that was already there, rebooted, and had
no success.
It looks like the card is requesting: iwlwifi-6050-3.ucode - is this
something that exists?

@KB1JWQ: No, there is no option (that is readily accessible) to install
a binary/closed-source driver/firmware for this hardware.
