Add me to the "me too" wagon, but in my case the system completely
freezes, the monitor turns dark and the host system would stop
responding to arps/pings
The last line in the kernel log before the system hung and hard to hard reset
it is the following:

Something similar here: Acer TravelMate 430 with Lucid 10.04.1 and
kernel 2.6.32-24-generic.
The system CPU is "halted" unless I move the mouse or press a key.

Exactly the same here on an Acer Aspire 5735, fresh 10.04 64 bit
install. The system slows to a crawl and things like brigthness control,
battery status, etc. stop working.

Same error herealthough, I have system lag as wellonce the fail
state kicks off, my computer slows down something awful...so, not sure
if I have 100% the same bug...but I do have the pspare error, and the
AE_TIME errors for ACPI in my "messages"
