I've the same problem before with recordmydesktop generated files.
The corruption came from recordmydesktop himself :

Hi,
If i see what you do (and the information), this codec is not recognize totally
by ffmpeg.
On another hand, there is a problem with the version of RecordMydesktop (and
his gui gtk and qt) who is in Luci

I also confirm that this is a bug in openshot video when playing ogg
(.ogv) video files.
I'm attaching a .ogv video file which actually shows the problem
(recorded with gtk-recordMyDesktop)

This has been wrongly marked as a duplicate. #449250 appears to be
completely unrelated and has also been marked as invalid.
I can confirm that this bug also occurs on my laptop. The video plays
fine in Totem

not work.
