Thank you for the helpful (and entertaining) example! It seems that
other browsers (Chrome and Opera) get around this issue by scrolling in
a way that the selected finding is always near the center of the page
instead of being shown at the bottom (as is happening with Firefox). I

Ok, the attached "test.htm" is a stand-alone html file which shows the
problem (search for 'K-1')
I see now that the problem is that the "Quote" panel stuck to the bottom
of the viewport is obscuring matched text, so the user can not see it.
