I don't mind what is used so long as there are some units at the end.
When it 1956 I am left wondering "1956 of what? Elephants?"

Why add bytes only for small sizes? This doesn't make sense. k = 1024
and M = 1024 k.
Perhaps we should use mega bytes for all updates. So it would be easier
for the user to compare them and less confusing.
