yes and no.
I think the standard user is more likely to use it than the net2280
driver.
For instance, I use it as a way to "loop back" usb device into a vmware
VM (for instance, store the VM on a partitioned USB disk, but want a
seperate partition be viewable as a USB device within the vmware vm
This driver seems more geared toward people doing kernel development,
and as such those people are likely to be doing kernel compiles and can
provide it themselves.
I don't see any use for this by the normal user.
