I guess this has been fixed along with the UUID and other updates. I

Matt: yes i use grub.
BenC: will do. hda become sda for no reason. That's why i reported the
bug. The transition to UUID was not started yet.

Technically there should have been no real transition yet, because not
all the upgrade issues were ready (UUID, and such).
If your drive moved from hda to sda, it was unintentional. Please send
me the drivers used before and after the problem (lspci -v
