The bug is that there is no manage repositories menu entry in Adept
Installer. One shouldn't have to go to a different program (the
manager) to enable software repositories.

If I understand this correctly,
Add/Remove programs can not search anything not available to APT.
Universe needs to be enabled in order to search it offline.
The alternative is to go to packages.ubuntu.com and search.

I see what he saying. When you goto Kmenu>Add/Remove Programs. If the
Universe or Multiverse repositories aren't enabled, then you can't
search them. I don't know if I would classify this a bug, or a whishlist
item. It is a valid point though. I don't use the Add/Remove Programs,
so I never notice
I was not able to confirm this bug. Could you please make sure your
system is up to date and try to replicate the problem. The "bug" is w/
Adept and not add/remove programs.
