Oh right, I did do that and forgot.
I'm still planning on having a stable wine 1.2 actually release in
Lucid's timeframe though. As it stands users are much better off trying
the unstable version before the stable one. I'll reevaluate the
situation around beta 2 if that doesn't seem like it's ha

I installed lucid-alpa3 with wine, the default (and only version) in
the repository is 1.1.39.
Maybe I am in misunderstunding ?

It hasn't been removed. You may still have the karmic wine ppa enabled,
which is where that change is.
