I experienced this when installing ubuntu, not kubuntu, so it's a

What packages is it installing and what locales package did you install
if different than what it wants to install? Did you restart firefox
after the packages were installed?

This is still an issue even with feisty, when I install it and go to the
"language settings" I get a warning that the language support for german isn't
completely installed and some packages are downloaded.
Also sometimes when I install new apps and revisit the "language options"
dialog I get th
closing due to lack of response from reporter. If you feel this is still
an issue, I urge you to reopen this report. Thank you.
