I can reproduce the crash in Feisty with libpoppler1 0.5.4-0ubuntu5 and
evince 0.7.1-0ubuntu2 using the pdf in the original report.

That looks like bug #24970 which has been fixed with poppler
(0.5.1-0ubuntu7) for dapper, it doesn't crash for me on edgy

Thanks for your bug report. Which version of poppler, evince and Ubuntu
do you use? Which architecture is that? I can't confirm with poppler
0.5.2-1 on Edgy amd64. evince behaves badly with that PDF, but does not
