Hi,
it was an error caused by python. After it was reinstalled, do-release-upgrade
worked fine.

I have also tried the upgrade from the alternate cd, and this is the
result:
s...@server:/media/cdrom$ sudo sh /cdrom/cdromupgrade
Segmentation fault
Is there any way to upgrade my ubuntu server?
