I'm on hardy (2.22.3) and having the same problem. Looks like this is an
upstream bug though :-(

I have the same situation using Xubuntu 8.04 and evince
2.22.1.1-0ubuntu1 - the program opens only the first page of any
multipage tiff file... Any idea to solve this? Please help!

This is still happening with 2.16.1-0ubuntu1
As a work around, Evince 0.6.1 shows it properly.
I cannot attach my test case because it contains confidential
information, but the tiff contains 18 pages, shown correctly in Gimp and
Evince.
