There's a reasonable chance that that this bug has been fixed, although
without log files I cannot be sure. bloke, if you can reproduce this bug
with Ubuntu 6.06.1, please reopen this bug and attach
/var/log/installer/syslog, /var/log/syslog, and /var/log/partman. Anyone
else, please file a new bug

With the above I was trying to install on a 10G HDD which already had W98 on it.
In the end I reinstalled but used the entire disk (wiped W98) - made it through.
