I solved it with http://people.canonical.com/~roman.yepishev/ubuntuone-
scripts/tomboy-recovery.py
Had to remove/edit all empty notes on all machines and on the web ui.
(tomboy-recovery.py displays these notes)

Ok it worked for a month or so but now it is back.
It doesn't sync anymore. But this time it doesn't come along the "getting lock
state" - like czajkowski screenshot shows.
The exception is:
