After a reinstall the local users are gone from the menu, but I still
see "guest session" there, and selecting it works.

for the record, I've set it mandatory, and rebooted etc but still I see
some local users listed there, and selecting them "something" happens
(dunno what, bug 511134 is preventing to let me see it)

I can't get it to work on current lucid, suspecting that the user list
should be gone once that setting is changed?

The lockdown works with the recent indicator-session in Lucid:
indicator-session: 0.2.2-0ubuntu1
First disable user switching with gconf-editor, then logout, log back in
and user switching is gone.
