I have 10.04 9.10 and XP on my system. 9.10 and XP play DVD's without a
problem but 10.04 will not play DVD's in Totem. 10.04 is an update from
identical 9.10 systems. I have checked all the dependencies but still
cannot get 10.04 to play.

Yes Matt, may you please open a new bug about that seeking issue? Please
also run totem as: GST_DEBUG_NO_COLOR=1 GST_DEBUG=5 totem &> debug.txt ;
compress and attach that resulting file to the new report, if you can
get a backtrace of that hang that'd be great too. Will look upstream for
gstreamer
What should we do next? Should we open a separate bug about the seeking
issue?

A bug regarding DVD menus has been reported in bug 522897.
I tried seeking in a DVD and while playback paused at the new position I
was able to press play and get it going again.
