Launchpad entry. For what it's worth, this preference is set to true in
both Windows and Mac
Making this change doesn't have a negative impact on users who don't try
to use this feature. However, for people that expect to use Ctrl-
Backspace, or Ctrl-Left or Ctrl-Right to jump words in the address bar
should be able to.
I agree that this default should be changed in gutsy, independent of

were very flippant about the whole thing. I was told "this is how Unix

On KDE, ctrl+backspace delete word by word (tested on konqueror).
And in Windows, the official build "firefox2 setup.exe" comes with
layout.word_select.stop_at_punctuation=true
