Hi,
Since the second apport-collect was not done after a login, but while
auto-typing with KeePass (using xdotool and mono). Here're a couple of
bug reports I filed elsewhere, and ended up being pointed back to Xorg:

Alright. Lucid Lynx.
I'm having many problems on Lucid, but managed to catch this one. It
didn't appear in the same fashion as it did in Karmic (while logging
in), as described in the bug report above. In fact I was using KeePass
(running Windows executable with mono) to auto-type a password. The

That looks like a GPU lockup. It would be good to test against Lucid,
now that it's (nearly!) released - we're more interested in fixing bugs
with the shiny new LTS release at the moment :).

BTW, here're are the list of x-related upgrades that I've found from
Synaptic's history (latest first). I've picked them out of the lists of
many. This is just in case one of these has fixed it.

Chris, I've tried to reproduce this bug by setting the rate at 60Hz and
70Hz (default is 75Hz with which I've never had any problems). I don't
seem to be able to reproduce it. What I am going to do now is to leave
the setting at 60Hz so that I may encounter it. I'll also keep logging
in/out wheneve

Bryce, I wasn't able to reproduce the error before sending the apport-
collect (it just logged me in all ~five times that I tried with the
problematic settings). If it required that I reproduce it, let me know
and I will try again.

Bryce, do I need to run apport-collect right after I reproduce the
problem, or can I run it anytime? (with my current settings, I haven't
encountered it in a while, but I think I can reproduce the problem).

Hi Umang,
Please run the command 'apport-collect BUGNUMBER', which will attach several

Well, I'm surprised nobody suggested that the error message might be in
tty1. Anyway, I managed to see that the error screen I got had tty1
written somewhere on it. So Ctrl+Alt+F1. Here's what it said (my
computer name is "home-ubuntu" and this message may not be exact since I
