Since there's been no reply to this, I'm going to set to "Invalid" as
that problem was pretty much solved.
If this issue is still happening after installing the libsdl1.2debian-
pulseaudio package, then feel free to reopen the bug.

Ok, it has been confirmed that when a network connection is dropped
(i.e. losing wireless connection) while you are playing online, and then
try to quit nexuiz, it will hang.
