I think it would maybe be possible to use something like
NSPluginWrapper to capture rendering (XDamage) and insert the image
with a windowless proxy plugin. But you might have a hard time
convincing anyone to work on that for free.

The bug has been kicked around on the Firefox Bugzilla site for a long
time. Apparently they have figured out that it's a problem with the
Adobe Flash plug-in for Linux. See
