Anyway defoma is dropped from ttf-vlgothic in Debian (I did). so you would be
better to get latest ttf-vlogothic
package from Debian. I don't have right to change its package in Ubuntu.

I can't remove this bugger from 10.04 testing with kernel
2.6.32-6.8-generic.
Using the;
" test -x `which defoma-font` && defoma-font purge-all $FILE"
solution did not work.
