Well in lubuntu 10.10 it is still slow, it slowens down to bytes and
increases upto 30Kb but not more, only for the first file I have seen
180KB rate but not for others when sending multiple files

Hi all, has there been any progress on this or a workaround found? I'm
building a service in which users upload images and it's painfully slow
compared to Windows with the same hardware (google nexus or any other
phone -> Mac mini running Ubuntu 9.10 or Windows).

Tested send-files and had the same (slow) results.
Tested on Karmic and Lucid.
Average speed (taken from the GUI) is around 21/22kb

You know speed may vary, depending on the environment.
However, could you try the following:
- Open a terminal
- Type /usr/share/doc/obexd-client/examples/send-files XX:XX:XX:XX:XX:XX
your-file
where XX:XX:XX:XX:XX:XX is the address of your device.
and try to evaluate the speed of the t
