Hm, so this looks increasingly confusing. udev.log is empty, udisks.log doesn't have an event where the media gets removed (well, perhaps this is the bug..), and gvfs shows that the volume goes away, but not the mount. Even worse, it shows that the entire _drive_ gets disconnected, which shouldn't
