I also have this issue on 10.04 LTS. It seems like this is only
occurring if the highlighting of the current day option is turned on as
when i do a cal -3h this does not occur.

I have the same problem. I can also verify that RHEL 5 has the same
issue, but RHEL 4 is fine. Lucid also gives me the same issue in both
xterm and Konsole. Hardy (8.04.4) doesn't suffer from this bug.

I've just set the date to 2009-11-29 on 9.10 and cal -3's output seemed
normal in a gnome-terminal.
