The new 7.0.68 installer has not been accepted yet and thus hasn't been
backported yet (see bug 60256).

Attempting to install fails as above. If manualy downloading the adobe
installer and then install using the --local-file option the system
says, plugin changed, not trusted.

In the case that both the US and Europe mirrors are not responding, a
workaround is to download the install_flash_player_7_linux.tar.gz from
Macromedia's/Adobe's Web site (follow the Download-> Players links),
purge flashplugin-nonfree, and reinstall flashplugin-nonfree making sure
to answer "no" w
@Will: fpdownload /is/ prioritised. The issue is that both the US and
Europe mirrors are appearing inaccessible to many users, possibly due to
broken routes.

Hmmm...in that case, in order to fix it, would one change the
order/priority of the URLs so that fpdownload.macromedia.com is first
(it being the official mirror, as far as I know), and perhaps add better
error handling code? I think I could do that, potentially.

to duplicate the environment for my original attempt to install
flashplugin-nonfree (which failed as the reporter's did). I scripted my
