Strangely enough, Last.fm player recognizes the hardware and will play directly to it (I hear music out of the speakers). Also when I plug in my logitech usb speakers they also work (show up in the selection box for hardware in alsa as well). -- no audio VT1708/A (VIA High Definition Audio Co
