I'm having the same problem. I opened a bug report (526285) before seeing this
one.
The To: filed does not exist in the header and all "sent" emails are dropped
into the Outbox and marked with a red "!"

I have the same problem. The "To:" line is somehow stripped out when I
attempt to send a message. Actually, when I simply save a message as a
draft it also removes the To: line.
