Alex, Due to a package bug, your upgrade didn't properly set your default kernel to boot into. You are still running the Jaunty kernel (2.6.28) instead of the Karmic kernel (2.6.31). Try running 'sudo update-grub' and then reboot the machine. Note that you may still have to unmute the devices l
