After installing "gnome-control-center" package and running
"gnome-appearance-properties" issue is fixed, but I don't think that this
package (and 50+ other packages by dependencies) must needed to this small

Well i installed ubuntu originaly a few years back and 'upgraded' to KDE
kubuntu so that is why on my install a lot of gnome packages still exits
including gnome-appearance-properties but i now noticed that gnome-

Thanks for the hint. I didn't have gnome-appearance-properties, and
installing the gnome-control-center package (which provides it) wanted
to pull in almost 200MB of gnome packages, so I didn't do that. However,
I did install the gnome-settings-daemon package and run the daemon, and
this fixed the
