Clicking on the link above opens a video window within Firefox (good).
Saving the link to the desktop and double-clicking opens Totem (also good).
Double result.

On edgy with totem-gstreamer I tried to use the wvx files available at
http://www.wsa.soton.ac.uk/choosing-wsa/streaming-video/default.asp
There was no player known for this file. I have the necessary codecs for
windows media player, so browsing to /usr/bin/totem in firefox caused
totem to fire up

Googling for "baa.wvx", this might have been when the the A380 visited
Heathrow for trials. 'BAA' is the British Airports Authority (now owned
by the Spanish). I found the URL:
http://82.108.51.234/baa/baa.wvx
which returns the full XML description. The streaming must have just
been for that
Your bug lacks information we would need to investigate further. We
are now going to close the bug - please reopen if you have more
information at hand.

Thanks for your bug. What version of Ubuntu do you use? Is that totem-
gstreamer or totem-xine? How do you try to open the file? From nautilus?
Could you describe the issue you face? Do you have a small example to
attach to the bug or an URL do download one to point?
