I only recently learned of the procedure above. So no, my view mode
icons were not there (whether it be one or three icons) because of that.
In Breezy as I recall, I always had the three view mode icons by default
... or so I thought. When I upgraded

Sorry but thats wrong - the default in breezy and dapper was to have no
view button - not three buttons, and also not one button. You only could
choose it from the menu.. Since Edgy it is available.
