I've updated my system to Lynx and I still cannot suspend if I have an SD card
mounted.
I'm trying to do an apport-collect -p linux 455212, but it is complaining that
this issue is closed already.
I'll see if this comment fixes that.

Hi Greg,
This bug was reported a while ago and there hasn't been any activity in it
recently. We were wondering if this is still an issue? Can you try with the
latest development release of Ubuntu? ISO CD images are available from

I can also confirm that it is my SD card!
If I remove it, I can do multiple suspend-resume cycles.
I also note that it is not being mounted when I do a normal boot, so
that explains why the first suspend works when it is inserted.

Removing my SD card fixed my issue, too, on my Lenovo X60. It seems to
be an issue with a mounted SD card, not the graphics card. Thanks for
the tip, Lumikko!

SD/MMC card reader is the reason why suspend doesn't work. Removing SD
card before suspend/hibernate solved at least my problem. I have X61s
and had same problem and symptoms as described earlier.

Guys - before saying "same here", note that my original report was not
just that suspend/resume does not work - but a very specific case that
suspend/resume works once and then suspend fails.
I've now also noticed that after the first successful suspend/resume the
notebooks screen will no longer
Same here, T61. On resume the /home/ drive would not mount, had to boot
on recovery mode, run fsck and repair a couple of errors.

For me, after a reboot, I can always do one suspend resume cycle OK.
It is the second suspend that hangs.

This issue occurs both on going into hibernation and on suspending. It
never reaches hibernation or suspension. The tablet is not docked. It
occurs the first time I hibernate or suspend, even shortly after
rebooting.

The failure appears to happen only when I suspend the machine that has
previously been suspended and resumed.
