This bug is no longer valid. I don't know exactly when or how it was
resolved but after noticing that an unrelated bug was fixed with upgrade
to linux-image-2.6.31-15 I decided to review other old bug reports.
Anyway I tried to duplicate the aforementioned errors and the problem is
now resolved in
