Well, meantime I just removed JRE and reinstalled JDK+JRE at 6.15 (I can wait
later update).
Yet it is funny Junty is more up to date.

The problem for me (on karmic) is that the JRE has alreardy updated to 6.16,
and I can't install JDK for incompatibility as it is still at 6.15. (And I
should have started development last week :( ).
I guess it may be a matter o days (hours?) --- am I too optimistic ?

Actually, the Sun Java security baseline is version 6 u17, and there is even a
newer version (6 u18) with improved performances, however no new security bug
fix.
I would expect to have at least 6 u17, because it corrects a number of
potential security holes.
