Seems to be fixed now. At least with gnucash 1:2.4.0-3 (in Ubuntu natty
now) old AqBanking configurations should get imported automatically.
Hence I mark the issue as "Fix Released"

I had the same problem, did the same as Gregor, nothing worked, I then used
aqbanking from lucid (version 4.1.8) and now everything works fine again.
It seems to be a problem of the aqbanking version in karmic (4.1.2),

I cleared my ~/.aqbanking folder and reconfigured everything (without
any problems). But still same error in gnucash.

Hey mark, I upgraded to Karmic and don't have any problems anymore.
Unfortunately I did not write down the version numbers before I did so.
My problem was due to the jaunty-backports repository which installed a
combination of aqbanking and gnucash versions that did not work
together. HTH Jan

solve them by removing old versions and newly setting up aqbanking.
