This should be fixed since 0.4.1.

Yes, sadly it doesnt have.
Would be great to have a debootstrap without dependencies in Ubuntu!
But that problem should be included in a message like: "Only available
for Debian Debootstraps".
I asked myself a while why it doesnt work till I realized that.
