sorry i should have gone into detail before. I did an apt-cache show
kpager and it shows " This package is part of KDE, and a component of
the KDE base module. See the 'kde' and 'kdebase' packages for more
information." for these reason, I changed the bug report.

I have had this problem since upgrading to Dapper. It did not occur in
builds from around March. I was not updating Kubuntu from the period
from there to release.
It only occured in my main account on the machine, so I'm assuming it
may have something to do with the profile and upgrade path.
