Using 9.10 up-to-date to today, I thought I had this issue, but after
some testing I found that the gvfs backend has an issue with share names
greater than 13 characters in length
(https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/gvfs/+bug/456501) - shares
with spaces are more likely to have long names.
Thank you for your bug report. The issue is an upstream one and it would
be nice if somebody having it could send the bug the to the people
writting the software (https://wiki.ubuntu.com/Bugs/Upstream/GNOME)
