Workaround load into kernel 2.26.31.11 and settings can be changed this
is only on 2.26.31.13 kernel

I also notice the same thing but I can adjust setting in kernel 2.26.11
I do not need jackd for my audio settings they seem to work fine but
other controls not accessible like frames per second, file overwrite option and
several other options
I do not see how jackd would be a valid workaround as
the workaround by Fabus seems to work on my system.
