for me, it just continued to show usplash and xsplash is installed

The text is just *ugly* and it's a huge step backwards compared to
Jaunty IMHO ! That reminds me of my days with SuSE Linux 5.3 with kernel
2.0.38 and not the current version of Ubuntu as of fall 2009. People

was fine) at around alpha 5.
