There was never any progress in this bug.
The situation has worsened in Feisty. Upon suspend, there is a screen
full of junk, then upon resume, there is a crash and a full restart!

I tried caps-lock but that does nothing, and it seems that CTR-Alt-F7
doesn't always cause any response...

I've searhced on thr forums where it seems that this could be related to fglrx
drivers. To be clear:
If I suspend, then hit the power button (on my desktop AMD64) the disks turn
but the screen remains in standby.
Then, if I hit Ctr-Alt-F7, the screen becomes active but blank.

Now that we closed this bug, I got it again!
edgy on AMD 64, fully up to date.
When I set the power saving as per attached, it suspends, the disks
power down, etc. But when i come back, hit a key, the disks come back,
but the screen never receives any input. I assume that the graphics card
is not

On my laptop getting out of sleep requires me to close the lid and open
it again. I think I might also be able to pull it out of sleep by
tapping keys.
Is this still a problem in Dapper or Edgy?

SysRq-s Alt-SysRq-u Alt-SysRq-b.
Maybe there is no bug but it would be nice to have some information on
how to get back out of sleep.
