I believe this was caused by a bug in webkit that has since been fixed.
Can you please try an install with a recent daily-live CD
(http://cdimage.ubuntu.com/daily-live) and let me know if that resolves
the bug for you?

Can you please add 'set -x' to the second line of /bin/partman-commit,
then run the installer in debug mode (`ubiquity -d`) and attach
/var/log/syslog, /var/log/partman, and /var/log/installer/debug when it
crashes?
