I am not certain this is an issue with the kernel. I have an msi-wind
that runs 8.10 happily and have been trying to upgrade to 9.04/9.10 for
some time and the camera and various other issues have put me off. As
part of my investigations I have run the 2.6.31-10 kernel in my 8.10
system and the Fn+
there is not much to investigate: USB hub drivers are not working properl. All
people using the latest kernel from Karmic on MSI wind U100 are affected by
this issue.

Somehow the camera works fine on a Live CD/USB. but after installation
the camera does not work at all. I hope this info will help fix these
bugs. It looks inherent for both jaunty and karmic.

Actually the bug #276495 is older and has more information. Bug #441491
should be made duplicate of #276495, not the other way (as is now).

Yes they are the same. This bug affects my MSI Wind. BUT the Acer
Aspire One 110 is not affected(camera is working on AAO110)
