Ubuntu better. However, I am closing it because the bug has been fixed
in the latest development version of Ubuntu - Trusty Tahr. It won't be
fixed in previous versions of Ubuntu because the package doesn't fit the

I can confirm that this dependency is appropriate. The soundsc command,
provided by the 'octave-audio' package, does not work unless the 'sox'
package is installed.
